Common Sense???!!!

Last week I came across an article on Facebook titled "20 Nutrition Facts That Should be Common Sense (But Aren't)" This title intrigued me and I wondered if I had nutrition common sense. After reading the article I was pretty pleased with what I knew, but there were a few things that jumped out at me that I wanted to share.

My personal favorite: The Mainstream Media Should Never be Trusted for Nutritional Information
Unfortunately many people take the things they see on TV as fact when most of the items are completely taken out of context.

Feeding Your Gut Bugs is Critical
This is something most of us rarely think about. The bugs that the article refers to are the helpful bacteria that live in our gut. Probiotics add the good bugs. I have noticed a big difference with the tummy troubles I had once I started taking a Pre-Probiotic on a daily basis.

Weight Loss Supplements Almost Never Work
This is something that should be said. There is no magic pill, no secret sauce to weight loss. I have successfully lost a good deal of weight and I have managed to keep it off for almost 4 years now. Having lost weight I know that nothing beats hard work, clean eating and a healthy lifestyle.
