How many red fruits and veggies can you name??

I was racking my brain today to try and think of as many red fruits and vegetables as I could. I came up with 5 or 6 right off and then I was stuck...It really got me thinking. Is my diet that limited? There are many more red fruits and veggies out there. Why can't I think of more. That is when I realized I am probably not alone. Beta-carotene is found in yellow and orange foods like pumpkins and carrots. Each plant based food is made up of it's very own set of phytonutrients. In order to get all of the wonderful benefits of the various phytonutrients we need to eat a wide variety of plant based food.

Variety is key. Challenge yourself to try new things and eat the rainbow so you can benefit from as many nutrients as possible.
